The Many Uses of Ivory

I posted on my Facebook about how I was excited to receive a bar of Ivory soap, and got a lot of responses on the post about what other people use Ivory soap for! You can do a science experiment by putting it into the microwave to let it foam up into 6 times its size (my 3 year old would enjoy that), you can put it in your bed under your sheet and it magically relieves leg cramps, and a fun fact.. It's the only soap that floats!!! So we had to give it a try. I had another bar of soap on hand. Here was the result..

That's right!!! Ivory really does float!! It made me think "wow, that really goes to show that it is light, and free of crap that will bog you down." HA! I also replaced my old soap with the Ivory in the shower and I love the way it feels and smells. I will definitely be buying it again, as my family has sensitive skin and it really is a great product for that, being that it is 99.94% natural ingredients. I also used it on my face when I ran out of facial cleanser and didn't even need my nightly moisturizer that night! imPRESS Press on Manicure

Another product I received in my Influenster Mom VoxBox is the imPRESS press on manicure from Broadway Nails. I got it in the color "stiletto".  Even though it was probably my last choice of the 36 colors it comes in, I was still excited to try it because I love the idea of it. It was extremely quick and easy to apply! I started at the pinky and worked my way down, and unfortunately when I got to my thumb there was not a size to fit. :( I was SO SAD! Because look how cute and professional it was looking!!!

I really wish I could wear these, but since I can't, they will be passed on to a lucky friend! DARN MY WIDE THUMBS!!! I can still say that I really liked the ease of application of these nails. I would say once you get past the first two nails and start to get the hang of it, it would take about 30 seconds per nail to select the correct size, and peel and stick! It has 24 nails in 12 different sizes to choose from.

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies!!

I like to eat something small pre-workout to get me going, so I was delighted when i found a soft baked oatmeal cookie from Quaker in my Mom VoxBox from Influenster! I ate this cookie, along with a banana for breakfast and it was just what I needed to power through my insane workout! I've always been a Quaker oatmeal fan, and now I can add a box of these cookies to my grocery staple list!

SUGAR BUGS!!!

Preston (3 years old) was really excited when we opened up our Mom VoxBox from Influenster and there was a little something for him.. DenTek sent us some kid fun flossers!!! We got a 3 pack in pink, orange, and green. He of course chose the green and was so excited to try them out. He thinks he's so cool because it is easy to hold and he can do it himself! He also really like that it "tastes yummy" since it is a wild fruit flavor! This product is a sure winner at our house, and we can't wait to use the coupon of the back of our pack to buy a VALUE pack!!!

Sick in the Summer

Both my boys and I have come down with a COLD in the summer. YUP, leave it to us to catch a cold in the hottest of the summer months. Palmolive Fresh Sponge!

I got my first Influenster box, a dishwashing kit from Palmolive including a FULL size dish soap bottle, a sponge, a coupon for me, and 5 to give away to some lucky friends and neighbors! I have to say, I have been using the same dish soap for years. When I opened the box the first thing I did was smell the soap of course!! It was a fruity HEAVEN! I'd describe it as an apple-y, berry-ish scent. Anyway, it's amazing.

I got to work right away, pouring some of the soap into my yucky crock pot. Once again, I was not disappointed. It scrubbed off the burnt crust around the edges and freshened the smell right up! I have a little trick for dish soap that my husband taught me. I use a travel squirt bottle (with a handle pump, not one of the tiny finger squirter ones. My friend tried that, didn't work out!) and fill it about 1/4 full of soap and the rest water, leaving enough to shake it a bit. It makes dish washing so much faster and easier, without over sudsing your dishes. You'll thank me later if you don't already do this. You're welcome :)

Then on to the sponge. It says it removes odors and freshens your sponge so I put it to the test on my counter tops. Then I dabbed a bit of soap on the sponge and rubbed it around to "clean" the sponge". Lovely! Sponge was clean and smelling fabulous! I really loved this product, but most of all the scent. I can't get over how much I love the smell of this particular product. The only thing I didn't like about this kit was the sponge. I didn't realize the green part was scotch and it rubbed the finish off my countertops. Beware! But as far as the dish soap, I can 100% say I love this product enough to buy it again!
